1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are intended to govern your use of Lepem WorkHub ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to the Terms that apply to your use of the service.
If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. Where applicable, additional policies or agreements may apply to particular services, including the Privacy Policy, Payments Policy, Client Policy, and Worker Agreement.
2. Eligibility
You may use the Platform only if you can legally enter into a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you and satisfy our eligibility requirements.
The Platform is intended for eligible adults. Users must not misrepresent their age or identity. Additional legal, geographic, identity-verification, or service-specific restrictions may apply.
3. Accounts and account security
Certain features may require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your account information up to date, and protect your login credentials.
- Do not impersonate another person or organization.
- Do not share your account in a way that compromises security.
- Notify us if you reasonably suspect unauthorized account access.
- Do not create accounts to evade a restriction or suspension.
We may request reasonable information to verify an account or investigate suspected fraud, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
4. Marketplace services
Lepem WorkHub is intended to help clients publish digital tasks and connect with workers who may complete them. Task categories may include transcription, writing, proofreading, document preparation, formatting, and similar digital services.
A task listing should accurately describe the work, deliverables, requirements, proposed budget, and deadline. A listing is not a guarantee that a suitable worker will be found or that a task will be completed.
Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, users are responsible for reviewing task requirements and confirming the terms of an assignment before work begins.
5. Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Providing lawful, accurate, and sufficiently clear instructions.
- Setting realistic deadlines and budgets.
- Having the rights or permissions needed for supplied materials.
- Reviewing submitted work fairly against the agreed requirements.
- Paying amounts properly due under the applicable payment terms.
- Communicating respectfully and not requesting prohibited work.
6. Worker responsibilities
Workers are responsible for:
- Reviewing task instructions before accepting an assignment.
- Submitting original work or work they are authorized to provide.
- Meeting agreed requirements and deadlines, or communicating delays.
- Respecting confidentiality and handling client materials appropriately.
- Not misrepresenting skills, progress, or completion status.
- Following applicable laws and the Platform's relevant policies.
Work availability, acceptance, approval, and payment depend on the actual features and rules of the Platform. No specific amount of work or income is guaranteed.
7. Payments, fees, and refunds
Any task budget, platform fee, worker payment, withdrawal method, processing time, cancellation rule, or refund condition must be disclosed in the applicable task terms or Payments Policy before the user commits to the relevant transaction.
Do not assume that funds are held in escrow or that a payment is protected unless the Platform explicitly provides that feature through a disclosed and lawful arrangement.
Payments and refunds are subject to the published Payments Policy, the specific transaction terms, payment-provider rules, and applicable law.
8. Prohibited conduct
You must not use the Platform to:
- Commit fraud, scams, theft, or other unlawful activity.
- Upload malware or attempt to compromise accounts or systems.
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or exploit other users.
- Publish deceptive task listings or manipulate reviews.
- Violate intellectual property, privacy, or confidentiality rights.
- Submit work obtained through unauthorized copying or plagiarism.
- Evade fees, security controls, or legitimate platform restrictions.
- Use the Platform for any activity prohibited by applicable law.
9. Content and intellectual property
Users retain the rights they already hold in materials they submit, subject to any rights or licenses they grant under a separate agreement or applicable law.
By submitting materials to the Platform, you must have the permissions necessary for us to process and display those materials as required to operate the relevant service.
Ownership or licensing of completed task deliverables should be agreed between the client and worker, and any required transfer should be documented clearly. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership beyond what the applicable agreement or law provides.
The Platform's own name, branding, interface, and original content may be protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use them in a misleading way or without permission where permission is required.
10. Complaints and disputes
If a disagreement arises about a task, users should first refer to the agreed task requirements, submission records, and applicable platform policies.
Where a dispute-reporting or resolution process is available, users should follow that process and provide relevant, lawful evidence. We may review available information and take action within the limits of our actual services and applicable law.
The Platform does not promise a particular dispute outcome. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be waived or restricted.
11. Suspension and termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address suspected fraud, security threats, serious policy violations, legal requirements, or risks to users or the Platform.
Where required by law, we will provide applicable notice, reasons, review opportunities, or other procedural protections. Account closure does not automatically cancel payment obligations or resolve outstanding disputes.
12. Platform availability and changes
We may update, add, limit, or discontinue features to maintain or improve the Platform, subject to applicable law and any commitments we have made to users.
We aim to maintain reliable services but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or compatibility with every device or system.
13. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform is provided subject to its published service descriptions and applicable agreements. We do not guarantee a particular work opportunity, client result, worker income, or business outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, consumer rights, or other protections where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful. Any permitted limitation of liability must be interpreted in accordance with applicable law.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms as the Platform develops or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published with a revised date. Where required, we will provide notice and obtain any necessary consent before changes take effect.
Review this page periodically so you remain informed about the terms applicable to your use of the Platform.
15. Governing law
These Terms and any disputes relating to them will be governed by the applicable law identified in the final, legally reviewed version of this document, subject to mandatory legal protections that apply to the user.
Before publication, specify the appropriate jurisdiction and dispute forum based on the legal entity operating Lepem WorkHub and the laws that apply to its users.
