1. Purpose and scope
This Worker Agreement describes the proposed terms for people ("Workers") who use Lepem WorkHub ("Platform") to find and complete digital tasks offered by clients.
Tasks may include transcription, writing, proofreading, document creation, formatting, data annotation, or other services described in individual task listings.
By accepting a task, a Worker agrees to follow this Agreement, the applicable task instructions, the Terms of Service, and the Payments Policy, to the extent applicable and legally enforceable.
2. Eligibility and accounts
Workers must meet the minimum age and other eligibility requirements that apply to the Platform and the relevant task. Where required, a parent or legal guardian's involvement must comply with applicable law and the Platform's rules.
Workers agree to:
- Provide accurate registration and account information.
- Keep login credentials secure and confidential.
- Use only accounts they are authorized to operate.
- Keep payout details accurate and up to date.
- Notify the Platform if they suspect unauthorized account access.
Workers must not impersonate another person or create accounts to evade a valid restriction.
3. Accepting tasks
Workers should review the task description, instructions, price, expected deliverables, deadline, and applicable approval criteria before accepting a task.
Accepting a task means the Worker agrees to make a reasonable effort to complete the specified work under the disclosed terms. Workers should accept only tasks they can reasonably perform.
Task availability is not guaranteed. Workers may decline tasks they have not accepted, subject to any clearly disclosed rules that apply to a particular task or program.
4. Work quality and submissions
Workers must follow the task instructions and submit work that reasonably meets the stated requirements.
- Review the task instructions before beginning.
- Submit complete, relevant, and original work as required.
- Check for avoidable mistakes before submitting.
- Disclose limitations that materially affect the result.
- Make agreed corrections within the stated revision process.
A submission may be reviewed against the criteria disclosed for the task. Rejection or revision requests should be based on those criteria rather than undisclosed or arbitrary requirements.
Workers must not falsify task completion, fabricate evidence, or claim to have performed work that they did not perform.
5. Deadlines and communication
Workers should make a reasonable effort to meet the agreed deadline and provide the deliverables through the designated submission method.
If a delay or technical issue arises, Workers should notify the relevant party as soon as reasonably possible. Extensions are subject to the applicable task process and agreement.
Workers must communicate professionally and must not use threats, harassment, abusive language, or misleading statements to pressure clients or other users.
6. Earnings and payments
Payment eligibility depends on the price and terms shown for the task, completion of the required work, any applicable review process, and the Platform's actual payment arrangements.
Workers should review the Payments Policy for the applicable fee structure, approval process, payout methods, and refund rules.
- Workers must provide accurate payout information.
- Workers must not submit false payment or payout claims.
- Workers should report apparent errors in earnings records.
- Payment timing may depend on the payment provider and required checks.
The Platform does not guarantee a minimum number of tasks, a particular income, or continuous work opportunities. Any actual earnings commitment must be stated clearly in the applicable task terms.
7. Conduct and integrity
Workers must act honestly and respectfully when using the Platform. This includes following task rules, respecting other users, and avoiding conduct that interferes with the marketplace.
Workers must not:
- Submit plagiarized work when original work is required.
- Manipulate task reviews, ratings, or completion records.
- Use bots or automation where the task rules prohibit them.
- Misrepresent skills, qualifications, or task results.
- Use another person's account or payment details without authorization.
8. Confidentiality and data protection
A task may include private, confidential, or commercially sensitive information. Workers must use that information only as needed to complete the authorized task and must not disclose it without permission or another lawful basis.
Workers should:
- Access only the information necessary for the task.
- Keep client files and account information secure.
- Not share confidential task materials publicly.
- Follow applicable data-protection and task-specific instructions.
- Delete or return information when required by the agreed terms or law.
Workers must not upload client information to third-party tools unless authorized and permitted by the task instructions and applicable law.
9. Work ownership and intellectual property
Ownership and permitted use of submitted work depend on the task terms, the agreement between the relevant parties, and applicable intellectual-property law.
Workers must have the necessary rights or permissions to use any materials they include in their submissions. They must not knowingly infringe another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.
Before a task begins, the applicable terms should clearly state whether rights are transferred, licensed, or retained and when that arrangement takes effect.
10. Prohibited activities
Workers must not use Lepem WorkHub for illegal activity, fraud, unauthorized access, harassment, deceptive conduct, or other activity prohibited by the Platform's Terms of Service.
Workers must also follow any lawful restrictions that apply to specific tasks, including restrictions on sharing personal data, using protected materials, or disclosing confidential information.
11. Reviews and account restrictions
The Platform may review task submissions, reports, and account activity to enforce its rules, protect users, investigate suspected fraud, and maintain service integrity.
Where justified and permitted by law, the Platform may issue a warning, request corrections, restrict task access, suspend an account, or terminate access for a violation of applicable terms.
Any appeal or review process should follow the procedures communicated by the Platform. Restrictions do not automatically remove payment rights that have already accrued under applicable law or the relevant agreement.
12. Worker status
The Platform is intended to facilitate connections between clients and people who perform digital tasks. The legal status of a Worker depends on the actual working arrangement and applicable law, not only on the label used in this Agreement.
Nothing in this template is intended to waive statutory rights or determine employment status where the law requires a different result.
Workers remain responsible for any obligations that lawfully apply to their own work, business activities, records, and taxes.
13. Changes and termination
The Platform may update this Agreement when its services, processes, or legal requirements change. Material changes should be communicated as required by applicable law.
Workers may stop accepting new tasks and may request account closure through the available process. Outstanding tasks, payments, disputes, confidentiality duties, and record-retention obligations may need to be resolved according to the applicable terms and law.
